Keeping it raw.

One afternoon while I was on the phone with my friend, we were talking through my brand and how to describe the products as ‘health and wellness products’ and she said, “we should add that to your labels!” I loved this because I felt that little statement embodied so much of what I wanted to give back to the world, what meant so much to me, but ironically enough I was sitting on one of the saddest days I’ve ever had.

I was finally starting to grieve the loss of my sister months and months later—I felt overworked, under appreciated, and quite spent emotionally. I felt lost and confused and unworthy of all the blessings that surrounded me. When I got off the phone with her, I repeated to myself over and over “health and wellness, health and wellness.” How can I give what I don’t have? Even though no one would see it, I had to face it… I didn’t feel well.

That’s when it hit me: work on your wellness and others will gravitate to you.

And so, I started by cutting off all of the dead ends on my hair and in my life. Cutting off the things in our life that aren’t helping us to grow in the direction we want to go, but rather just taking up room in our lives will make all the difference. These days I am feeling happy, hopeful and excited to fill all these spaces I’ve created with beautiful adventures, business ventures and most importantly beautiful memories with the ones that matter most.

Today, I wish you love and wellness. Be kind to yourself! 🌿🤍
